On this tour you will get to know the still very original town of Silves. It is not very touristic, because it’s a bit far away from the coast. You can experience real Portuguese flair. Very impressive is the castle of Silves. Before or after the bike tour, you should study something about the interesting history and architecture of the city. Also a leisurely stroll through the small streets of the city and a rest on the river are recommended. After crossing the city, you will enter a hilly landscape. In this idyllic nature you will encounter a variety of orange and almond trees. You will ride up to the small mill of Silves and have an impressive panoramic view there. In winter and spring, you will also see some birds. This enchanting nature around Silves is usually completely deserted.
